Ai Nakagawa

Program Director

Ai Nakagawa was born in Tokyo, and moved to Canada before her first birthday. After completing her university education in British Columbia, Ai decided to embark on a journey to Japan in the spring of 2002.

After arriving to Japan, Ai worked in the travel industry as a technical tour consultant assisting special interest groups and corporate clients with overseas travel arrangements. She later transferred to an affiliate company of JTB where she planned and coordinated educational programs targeting Japanese high school and university students. In 2004, she felt it was time to move on to something different. Sure enough, she did, landing herself a marketing position at a start-up company providing software management solutions for mobile devices.

According to Ai, “FEW is an excellent place to network, and it is also a great opportunity for career and personal development. Through FEW’s activities, I have been fortunate to meet wonderful and talented women. FEW members include women of many diverse cultures, professional backgrounds, and age groups. I am continually impressed with the strength of our diversity when we gather at the meetings. Our monthly meetings featuring knowledgeable guest speakers have raised my awareness of business trends and the skills needed in the workplace.

FEW serves the meaningful cause of helping women advance in Japan.

“Yeji Jeung and I are very excited to take on the role of Program Director for FEW. We look forward to seeing you all at our events!”
