Linda Sherman, the Executive Vice President of The Courage Group’s Innovation Marketing services, is a marketing expert with over 20 years of executive and consulting experience in Japan. She holds an executive position in the Commercial Marine Biology Institute, a start up company based in Los Angeles, California.
She was a Director in a Japanese market research company, founded Coors Japan, and has also served as President of Club Med Japan, Sara Lee Japan, and Barilla Japan. Most recently, Linda held an out-sourced position as Vice President of Marketing for the Seiyu/Wal-Mart joint venture.
Having spent the majority of her successful career in Japan, Linda will share with us what she has learned over the years as a top management executive, including:
• Managing the marketing related creative process
• Engaging your staff to action
• Life style balance
• Learning Japanese language efficiently and effectively
• Working for a Japanese boss
A native of Los Angeles, Linda has been active in a number of business organizations in both the USA as well as Japan. Linda speaks and reads Japanese, and is an executive committee participant of the prestigious Nihon Keizai Doyukai. She is Chair of the ACCJ Marketing Programs Committee, founder and Chair of a group of top women executives in Japan, and is a member of the Economist Corporate Network.
