Day trip to Kasama Town's World-Renowned Pottery Festival

Join FEW for a special Golden Week day trip to Kasama, considered a 'Little Kyoto' due to its numerous temples, shrines, and local crafts. The pottery, Kasama-yaki, and pottery masters are world-renowned and the glaze ranges from earthly tones to pastels, but mostly the pottery is noted for its reddish-brown clay colors with black glaze. The pottery festival brings together over 200 ceramic artists annually, selling directly to the public. With its international atmosphere, good food and music, this is sure to be a fun day out! If we have time, there is the option to visit the Kasama Azalea Fair for a great combination day out with nature!
