Topic: Exploring and Managing Your Emotional Intelligence.

What's your “EQ”? You heard right. Not Intelligence Quotient, or “IQ,” but your Emotional Quotient, better known as “Emotional Intelligence.” EQ is a rapidly expanding field of psychology and management that leading universities and corporations are now seeing as a key indicator of life success. In this presentation, Quentin O'Mahony and Britt-Marie Luckhurst, Management Trainers with the Tokyo-based Advanced Management Training Group (AMT), will discuss how focusing on your EQ can improve every aspect of your life.

From your relationships with partners and friends to professional colleagues or strangers, a healthy EQ enables you to express your feelings while controlling unproductive impulses. In this interactive presentation, you will explore active listening skills that will improve your ability to manage relationships and motivate others.

A native of the Republic of Ireland raised in Canada, Quentin delivers seminars on Emotional Intelligence to foreign diplomatic staff and multinational corporations throughout Japan. He lives the principles of EQ each weekend in the challenging role of a semi-professional soccer referee.

Britt-Marie, who completed her graduate work in Asia Pacific HR Management, is Dale Carnegie certified in Leadership and Communications Training. A British-Canadian, Britt-Marie holds a B.A. in Japanese and English Literature, and enjoys French, Belly Dance and Hip Hop.
